I am excitedly awaiting spring so I can get my garden planted. While I have a huge in-ground garden each year, there are certain crops that I have trouble growing. We have squash bugs so bad, that I absolutely can not grow anything from the squash family. I get so jealous when I hear of people who grow so much zucchini that they can't even give it all away. Fortunately for me Earthbox plantersI currently have 2 Earthboxes up on my deck that get full sunlight most of the day. Last year was the first year I finally had enough zucchini to be able to freeze the extra. After discovering how well Earthbox gardening works for my situation, I definitely won't be growing any squash in the ground ever again. It's much easier this way! You can read more of my experiences by checking out Earthbox system.
Here is a great video that shows you how quick and easy it is to set up Earthbox planters
Features of Earthbox Planters
- Earthboxes are self-watering. I had to fill the water reservoir about once a day in the heat of summer, but I could go 2-4 days without watering when it was cooler or the plants were smaller.
- Earthboxes are weed-free. They come with a plastic cover and you cut holes in it for the plants. It's so nice to not to have to deal with weeks like I do in my regular garden.
- Earthbox planters come with all the fertilizers you need for the entire growing season.
- Earthboxes are on wheels which makes them so easy to move.

I was sceptical when my brother told me how great this is for growing vegetables. He was right!
Marnita stated
They are easy to use and maintain. I also never felt bad about leaving for a couple of days in the heat of summer with a reservoir of water full before we left.
Margaret C. stated
The Earthbox works miracles. My tomatoes and peppers are 3 times the size of the ones planted in the ground.
