Genesis Today Review and an Awesome Giveaway!

I recently had the opportunity to review the Genesis Today line of Superfruit juices. Their juices contain three of the nutritional superstars of the  fruit world - pomegranate, acai berry, and goji berry.  You may have heard about acai or goji berries in the news recently.  They are just packed with nutrients and antioxidants.  I actually have a young Goji berry bush that I planted this past spring because they are an amazingly nutritious addition to smoothies.

Genesis Today’s Superfruit juices are available in three flavors: Acai Berry, Cranberry Goji, and Pomegranate & Berries with Resveratrol.  I was fortunate enough to be able to try Genesis Today's Cranberry Goji juice.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect as Cranberry juice can be quite tart.  I was pleasantly surprised.  While it is a bit tart, it is also a bit sweet.  I found I really enjoyed it. 

Being a dietitian, I had to take a look at the ingredient label. I discovered that the juice is sweetened with stevia.  Stevia is a no calorie sweetener.  However, unlike artificial sweeteners that were created in a lab and have questionable safety, stevia comes from a plant.  I actually grow stevia in my garden each summer to use to sweeten tea.  Unlike other juices on the market, Genesis Today's line contains 100% fruit juice.  I love that their juices don't contain any refined sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

I was also surprised to see that these juices meet the daily requirement of vitamin B12, which is especially important for vegans.  One serving of juice also meets daily requirements for vitamin C and contains 100 mg of sea minerals.

Another thing I love is that you can find the Genesis Today Superfruit Juice line at Wal-mart.  There is no need to go to a health food store to find them.  My only complaint is that they don't have any varieties that are certified organic.
